Where do I find a cheap triple or quad stroller?

Posted on July 31st, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized | 5 Comments »

I would check ebay you can put in your zip code and see if there is anyone near where you live selling one so you can pick it up. Also, consignment shops are good for that stuff.
Try target and check out the reviews for them, you don’t want to get one that’s hard to close or pick up.
And also try craigslist in your area

Triple Strollers?

Posted on July 31st, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

I need a reliable , functional, triple stroller.
Reasonably priced.

I will soon have a 3 year old boy, a 22 month old boy and a Newborn ( pray i get a girl this time)

In the past i have used graco because it had the bigger wheels, easy to clean, priced right, and was sturdy ( very important with boys)

I need something I can use for atleast a year until my 3 year old can walk for a longer period of time.

I have seen a few at a thousand dollars ( NOT gonna happen)
and a few at 225 baby trend brand , I am not willing to spend more than 350 for a stroller . Does anyone have experience with a decent triple, FYI- I would like the sunvisors but baskets, cup holders ect not necessary.and Bigger wheels a huge plus.

Help Help Help, OH and Second hand is even better!!!!

Try the website below, I had twins last week and had to go to Target to buy the double stroller. Good Luck and congrats!

Is there any other double jogger other than Valco that can have an additional (third) seat attached?

Posted on July 30th, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

Otherwise – I would like to buy a Valco double (runabout), bu tother than ebay – what are other second-hand sites where I may find one for up to $250?

Thanks!

Valco is the only brand in the market with the third seat option but
any stroller that have the swivel front wheel are not recommended for jogging (the only brand in the marked that clearly warn you that is not recommended for jogging purpose because of its swing wheel is Jeep Liberty® Limited Urban Terrain stroller) because the locking mechanism of the front wheel can easily will unlock and turn sideways and jam into the ground and flipping the stroller and you will go airborn and land in front of the stroller when jogging last year (’06) along they were nearly 500 cases in the U.S. the best one in the market is Tike Tech http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?
productId=2267440&cp=2255983.2256189.
2256202&parentPage=family#prod_prodinfo

also try this website is much better than ebay
www.craigslist.com just search for product and your city

good luck

How can I adjust the seat in my jogger stroller?

Posted on July 30th, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

I bought a Baby Trend Expedition jogger stroller at a rummage sale. I looked at their website and know it’s definitely not their newest models.

I cannot figure out how to adjust the reclining seat. Right the seat is all the way reclined and it worked great for my son when he was a baby but now as a toddler, he wants to sit up and see things.

The only thing behind the seat is a strap and buckle but I can’t see anyway to adjust this to tighten or loosen it. Anyone have any idea how the seat can be adjusted?

You need to figure out which model you have and google it. Can you loose the strap? You usally loosen it to lower the seat and tighten it to put the seat up.

What jogging double stroller do you recommend?

Posted on July 30th, 2010 by admin in strollers jogging | 2 Comments »

My girl is a little over 6 weeks now and I’m ready to start jogging/walking at the beach again, however, I need a double jogging stroller but I’m not sure which one to purchase.
Any advice?

For our first, we used the Baby Jogger brand which we loved, but we didn’t have a double. It’s very easy to fold up and is lightweight. But you aren’t supposed to use it until they are 3 months, and that is with the snuzzler insert. Now that we have two, we use the double chariot, which I also love. It’s not as easy to fold up, but it’s great for my toddler because I can throw in toys and snacks and they won’t fall out. Also, with my 5 week old, you can buy an insert called a bivy sack that they lay in, and it cushions them and it keeps them lying horizontal. And we can use it for cycling and cross country skiing as well.

Are double jogger strollers allowed inside airport terminals?

Posted on July 29th, 2010 by admin in Uncategorized | 1 Comment »

I have been told that if a stroller doesn’t fold up to fit on the metal-detector belt and through past the monitor, it is not allowed. Is this true?

No, we get double jogging strollers all the time. T S A will physically check your stroller at the checkpoint if it is too big for the xray machine. I work for Delta Airlines and I am a proud parent with a Sit-n-Stand stroller (which does not fit through) and have never had a problem.
